League of Nations mandate

Southern Rhodesia, which had self-rule from 1923, issued a Unilateral Declaration of Independence on 11 November 1965, as Rhodesia. It returned to British control in December 1979.

아크로티리 데켈리아 

아크로티리 데켈리아는 동지중해의 '키프로스 섬'에 위치한 영국의 해외 속령입니다.

이곳은 키프로스가 독립한 뒤에도 줄곧 영국의 해군기지로 남아있으며 영국의 중요 전략거점으로써 매우 중요한

위치를 차지하고 있는 곳입니다. 

참고로 키프로스섬은 저 조그만 섬에 무려 4개의 서로 다른 통치자 

영국령 아크로티리 데켈리아와 남부의 그리스인이 대다수인 '키프로스 공화국', 북부의 터키계 공화국인 

'북 키프로스 터키 공화국'과 섬 중앙과  수도 니코시아 한복판을 가로지르는 'UN특별관할지구(비무장지대)'로 

나뉘어져있는 매우 복잡하고 특이한 곳입니다.
